MindFirst: Habit Coach ("MindFirst," "we," "our," or "us") is built as a local-first wellness app. This Privacy Policy explains what the app stores on your device, when Apple services are involved, and how you control your data.

            Summary: DuttLabs does not run an app server for MindFirst and does not collect your in-app health, fitness, food, mindset, or photo records. Those records stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

1. Information Stored by the App

1.1 Information You Enter

Profile Information: Name, height, weight, goals, preferences, and motivation notes
Health and Fitness Records: Workout logs, fasting schedules, meal entries, body measurements, mood, energy, and motivation ratings
Journal Entries: Thoughts, reflections, and notes you choose to record
Progress Photos: Photos you add to track visual progress
Optional Apple Sign-In Details: If you choose to use Sign in with Apple, the app stores the Apple user identifier and any name or email Apple provides locally in the iOS Keychain or app storage

DuttLabs does not receive this information through the app.

1.2 Information from Apple HealthKit

With your explicit permission, the app can read data from Apple HealthKit, including:

Active energy burned
Exercise minutes
Step count
Heart rate data
Weight and body measurements

            Important: HealthKit data is used only for app features you enable. We do not share HealthKit data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or third parties.
        

1.3 Apple Watch Data

If you use the MindFirst Apple Watch companion app, the app stores and syncs limited status data locally between your devices:

Check-in Data: Mood, energy, and motivation ratings logged from your watch
Fasting Progress: Fasting timer start/stop times synced between devices
Workout Logs: Workouts logged from your watch, including heart rate data
Mind Tool Usage: Guided breathing sessions, urge surfing completions
Thought Notes: Voice-to-text notes captured on your watch

Apple Watch data syncs between your iPhone and Apple Watch using WatchConnectivity and App Groups. It is not uploaded to a DuttLabs server.

1.4 Diagnostics and Analytics

The current app does not include third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs. Local diagnostic logs may be written by iOS for debugging and reliability, but DuttLabs does not receive those logs automatically through the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

Information stored on your device is used to:

Provide the MindFirst app features
Personalize your fitness and wellness experience
Track your progress toward health goals
Generate insights and recommendations
Sync status to widgets and the Apple Watch companion app
Send local notifications you enable

3. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: Health, fitness, food, mindset, measurement, and progress photo data is stored locally on your device
No iCloud Health Sync: We do not store your personal health or fitness records in iCloud or CloudKit
Apple Watch and Widgets: Limited status data is shared locally through App Groups and WatchConnectivity so companion features can work
Access Controls: Device security features such as passcodes, Face ID, Touch ID, and Apple Health permissions help protect access to your data

4. Apple Services

The app uses Apple frameworks and services:

Apple HealthKit: Health data integration controlled by your Apple Health permissions - Apple Privacy Policy
Apple StoreKit: In-app purchase and subscription management through your Apple ID - Apple Privacy Policy
Sign in with Apple: Optional authentication handled by Apple

Apple may process information as described in its privacy policy. DuttLabs does not receive your payment card details.

5. Data Sharing

We do NOT:

Sell your personal information
Share your health data with advertisers
Use your HealthKit data for marketing
Share your data with data brokers

We may receive information only when:

You email support or otherwise contact us directly
You choose to export or share data outside the app
Disclosure is required to comply with legal obligations or protect rights and safety

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

Access: View your records inside the app
Delete: Delete local app data from Settings in the app, or remove the app from your device
Export: Export your data in a portable format from the app
Revoke Permissions: Withdraw HealthKit access at any time through iOS Settings
Manage Purchases: Manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings

7. Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
Support emails are retained only as long as needed to respond and maintain records
Apple retains purchase, subscription, and Apple service data according to Apple policies

8. Children's Privacy

MindFirst is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. Minors should use fitness, fasting, and wellness features with parent or guardian involvement and appropriate professional advice.

9. International Users

The app stores records locally on your device. If you contact DuttLabs for support, your message may be processed in Australia or wherever email and support providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
